A 30-Year High-Resolution (1-km) daily Precipitation and Temperature Dataset for the Complex Alpine–Po Basin Region

This dataset provides a high-resolution (1 km) gridded daily climate product for the Po River District (Northern Italy) covering the period 1991–2020. It includes daily total precipitation (mm day⁻¹) and daily mean air temperature (°C). The dataset is derived from a harmonized multi-source observational network and interpolated using geostatistical methods (Ordinary Kriging for precipitation and elevation-detrended Kriging for temperature). The final product consists of spatially continuous daily fields over complex terrain, suitable for hydrological modelling, climate analysis, and environmental applications. Data are distributed as annual NetCDF files (CF-compliant) with dimensions (time, y, x) in EPSG:3035 projection, including auxiliary latitude and longitude coordinates.
