Gene expression profile at single cell level of small intestine epithelial cells from the distal ileum

Small intestine is highly innervated by nociceptor neurons. Single cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) of ileal epithelial cells was performed to analyze the role of nociceptor neurons in regulating small intestinal epithelial cells. Overall design: Ileal epithelial cells were purified by Fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) from both nociceptor knockout (Nav1.8Cre_P_DTA_P) mice and the control (Nav1.8Cre_M_DTA_P) mice. The purified cells were used for scRNAseq using inDrops.
