由於氣候變遷逐漸威脅人類的生活環境，而人類大量使用化石燃料所產生的二氧化碳，使得大氣中二氧化碳濃度日益增加，成為地球暖化現象主要原因，如無有效控制二氧化碳的排放，情形有可能更加嚴重。台灣自來水公司配合政府積極推動各項節能減碳政策，除宣導用戶節約用水外，讓用戶瞭解每度用水CO2排放量是有其必要性，期藉以提倡用戶節約用水亦能減少碳排放量的觀念，以減緩全球暖化對國人所造成的衝擊。本資料集係提供台灣自來水公司各年度自來水每度用水CO2排放量。

The extensive use of fossil fuels by humans has led to a continuous rise in atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations, which serves as the primary driver of global warming. Without effective control over CO2 emissions, the situation may worsen significantly.

Taiwan Water Corporation, in line with the government's proactive promotion of various energy conservation and carbon reduction policies, not only advocates water conservation among users but also deems it necessary to inform users about the CO2 emissions per cubic meter of tap water. The goal is to foster the concept that water conservation can also reduce carbon emissions, thereby mitigating the impact of global warming on residents in Taiwan.

This dataset provides the annual CO2 emissions per cubic meter of tap water from Taiwan Water Corporation across all recorded years.
