Plastic fed Hermetia illucens gut sequencing, Jan 22 '25

This sequencing data was generated to help describe the microbial communities in the gut of black soldier fly larvae (Hermetia illucens) fed a mix of powdered plastic (Polyhydroxybutyrate, Polyethylene terephthalate, and Polylactic acid). Our study aims to describe the taxonomic diversity of the dominant microbial communities in these gut environments when exposed to plastic.
