Easton Waterbodies

Overview This Feature Service provides detailed hydrographic polygon data for the town of Easton, Massachusetts. It represents various types of waterbodies such as lakes, ponds, streams, wetlands, and bogs within the town limits and surrounding perimeter areas. Feature Layer Waterbodies: This layer contains polygon features compiled from a 2017 vector mapping project conducted by WSP. The aerial photographic mission took place on April 12, 2017, and data was collected at a precise scale allowing accurate representation of waterbody boundaries. Names and waterbody types were attributed by referencing multiple authoritative sources including USGS Geographic Place Names, MassGIS datasets, USGS Topographic maps, and local resources. The layer includes data on waterbody area in acres, elevation, and source information for quality assurance.
