The objectives of this study were: 1) to determine the immobilization performance of iron-carbon composite amendments based on DTPA extraction and BCR sequential extraction methods; 2) to investigate the immobilization mechanisms from both abiotic and biotic perspectives by combining SEM, FTIR, XPS, FAPROTAX and random forest analyses; 3) to evaluate the impact of amendments on microbial community diversity, structure and co-occurring patterns in the soil and reveal the factors that lead to changes in soil microbial community structure.
