Recently, an emergence of carbapenemase producing strains of A. ursingii was reported in the Netherlands. These three strains were epidemiologically unrelated and had different genotypes, but all carried blaIMP-4 and blaOXA-58 carbapenemase encoding genes. Here, we analyzed plasmid content, to investigate a possible common source of the resistance genes in these strains.
