Data and R code for "Spatial mismatch between endemic orchid diversity, land-use change and spatial planning in Italy"

This repository contains the occurrence dataset and R code used to reproduce the analyses of spatial patterns of endemic orchid richness in Italy, historical land-use transformation, projected future biodiversity decline, and protected-area coverage. The repository includes a cleaned occurrence dataset for Italian orchids, the R script used for the analyses, and supporting documentation describing the required external spatial datasets. Large third-party spatial datasets, including CORINE Land Cover, GLOBIO, WDPA, Ecoregions 2017 and WorldClim, are not redistributed due to file size and/or licensing constraints. Required external datasets and expected folder structure are documented in the README and external data sources file.
