GESIS Online Panel Pilot: Social networks (survey 6)

Social networks.

This study number comprises the data collected during the so called
main studies. The main studies represent three surveys which have
partially been used for methodic experiments. The questions are
identical in every survey except for the described differences.

Topics: frequency of contact with friends, relatives and colleages;
existence of a trusted person; frequency of social activity in
comparison with peers; mention of up to five contacts and
characterization of these persons by gender, age, relation to the
respondent, education, employment status and occupation, country of
birth, citizenship, distance to the respondent´s place of residence,
economic situation in comparison to the respondent, frequency of
contact; mentioned people knowing each other; people skills
(reciprocity); feeling of happiness (scalometer); attitude towards
various topics of social coexistence (not asked in main study 1).

Demography: self-reported diligence in answering the questionnaire
(not asked in main study 1); evaluation of the survey (interesting,
rich in variety, important for sciences, long, difficult, too
personal); interruption of the survey; personal remarks about the
survey.

Additionally encoded: amount of the respondent´s incentive.
