The alcohol extract of Linderae radix can reduce the inflammation level and gut microbiota disturbance

Linderae radix sesquiterpenoids and its lactones were prepared by ethanol extraction and separation and purification by silica gel column chromatography and gel column chromatography. A rat model of liver injury induced by excessive alcohol was established. The therapeutic effects of sesquiterpenoids of Linderae radix were evaluated by liver function and liver pathology. The changes of endotoxin levels in portal vein and peripheral blood, oxidative stress in liver, intestinal permeability and intestinal microflora were studied by ELISA, qPCR, western blotting and high throughput sequencing. The regulation mechanism of Linderae radix sesquiterpenoids on improving alcoholic liver injury was elucidated from the aspects of inhibiting inflammation, antioxidation and improving the structure of microflora at the whole and molecular levels, it provides a new choice of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of alcoholic liver injury and a basis for the development of new monomeric drugs for the effective treatment of alcoholic liver injury in Linderae radix.
