We applied metagenomic shotgun sequencing before and after processing libraries with hybridization capture to four sedimentary ancient DNA (sedaDNA) records from Northern Greenland covering the last 12,000 years to trace temporal changes in ecosystem composition with a particular focus on detecting marine mammals. Total DNA was extracted from the marine sediment cores LK21-IC-st26-GC1 , Ryder19-24-PC1 , Ryder19-12-GC1 and DA17-NG-ST07-073G.
