The Infrared Image Dataset for Ethylene Leak Detection was created by the School of Information Technology, Beijing University of Technology. It comprises 54,275 infrared images of ethylene leaks under varying concentrations and background conditions. The dataset was captured using a dedicated infrared camera at 25 frames per second, with every alternate frame selected for processing and stored in PNG format. This dataset is designed to address the issues of real-time performance and accuracy in ethylene leak detection within the petrochemical industry. By simulating the actual imaging conditions in real-world scenarios, it enhances the dataset's diversity and challenge. The main application scenarios of this dataset focus on improving the performance and adaptability of basic image object detection algorithms, enabling more effective detection and response to ethylene leak incidents.
