SECURE 2021 Drought Severity and Duration

SECURE 2021 West Wide Analyses on Drought Duration and Drought Severity. The PDSI data used in the analyses contains two time periods: (1) the historical period, which includes the years 1473 to 2005; and (2) the projection period, which comprises the years 2006 to 2099. The PDSI data collated from various sources to cover these two time periods were aggregated to a common spatial resolution of U.S. Geological Survey eight-digit Hydrologic Unit Codes (HUC-8s). Time series of PDSI data covering the period 1473 to 2099 for each of the 1,255 HUC 8s was developed for use in the analyses. Note, all PDSI values referenced here are the summer (June-July-August) averaged PDSI values.SECURE 2021 美国西部干旱时长与干旱烈度全域分析。本分析所用的帕尔默干旱严重指数（Palmer Drought Severity Index, PDSI）数据包含两个时段：(1) 历史时段，覆盖1473年至2005年；(2) 预估时段，覆盖2006年至2099年。本次研究从多源渠道汇编得到覆盖上述两个时段的PDSI数据，并将其聚合至统一空间分辨率——美国地质调查局（U.S. Geological Survey, USGS）八位水文单元代码（Hydrologic Unit Codes, HUC-8）。研究针对全部1255个HUC-8单元，构建了覆盖1473年至2099年的PDSI时间序列数据集，以供本分析使用。请注意，本文中提及的所有PDSI数值均为夏季（6月-7月-8月）平均帕尔默干旱严重指数数值。
