Supplementary materials - Spatiotemporal analysis of leptospirosis in Colombia from 2007 to 2021. An environmental health metrics approach

Dataset: Environmental Health Indicators for the Association of Environmental Factors with Leptospirosis in Colombia, 2007-2021. Data source: Health data: monthly new cases of leptospirosis in each municipality, from January 2007 to December 2021. Environmental data: Mean temperature, rainfall, and proportion of flooding zones in each municipality. Sociodemographic data: proportion of households with overcrowding, deficit in housing quality, and deficit in public services in each municipality.Analysis: The standardised incidence rate of leptospirosis in each municipality and month was calculated using the indirect adjustment method. Then, a Bayesian hierarchical regression model was used to estimate the association of all factors with the incidence rate, taking into account the spatial distribution of the municipalities and variations across the 180-month study period.
