Carbonate Clumped Isotope and U-Pb LA-ICP-MS Data of Diagenetic Carbonate Cements formed between the Early Jurassic and Quaternary from the Mesozoic Formations in Northern Switzerland

This dataset consists of U-Pb LA-ICP-MS and clumped isotope data of calcite, dolomite, and aragonite cements from the Mesozoic formations in northern Switzerland and constrains the geodynamic evolution of the North Alpine foreland since the Early Jurassic at million-year resolution. U-Pb analyses were carried out at the Institute of Geochemistry and Petrology at ETH Zurich using an ASI RESOlution S 155, excimer (ArF, 193 nm) laser ablation system coupled to a Thermo Element XR sector-field ICP-MS. Clumped isotope analyses were carried out at the Geological Institute at ETH Zurich using a Thermo Scientific Kiel IV carbonate device coupled to a Thermo Scientific MAT253 or MAT 253 Plus IRMS.
