**Overview** This data package contains the Merit-Based Incentive Payments System (MIPS) Data. It also includes the Alternative Payment Models (APMs) that CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) operates. **Description** This data package contains the Merit-Based Incentive Payments System (MIPS) Data. It identifies which of those APMs CMS has determined to be advanced APMs, unless otherwise noted. The information presented in the dataset applies the Advanced APM criteria adopted in the Quality Payment Program final rule to the current design of the listed APMs. The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) streamlines a patchwork collection of programs with a single system where providers can be rewarded for better care. Providers will be able to practice as they always have, but they may receive higher Medicare payments based on their performance.
