NRS-9935 | Map of the City of Sydney published by Hunt and Stevens

This is a printed map, originally in two parts but now bound into one, which shows the following for the 8 city wards of Gipps, Bourke, Brisbane, Macquarie, Cook, Fitzroy, Phillip and Denison: outlines of streets (giving names of streets and building numbers); outlines of public buildings, churches, some private buildings (eg. banks, theatres, private companies) usually giving the name of building; sites of proposed buildings and roadways. The map bears the note that it was compiled and drawn by C. Mayes, Surveyor, 394 George Street, Sydney. The map has been heavily annotated by the Board with details of water and sewerage matters eg. location of stopblocks and plinths.
