Structural Mapping of Osmotic Stress Response Proteins in Cereal Crops — Agricultural Genomics Dataset v1.2
收藏资源简介:
Abstract This dataset provides structural sequence data and conformational annotations for key osmotic stress response proteins in cereal crop models, including Late Embryogenesis Abundant (LEA) proteins, aquaporins (PIP2;1), NAC transcription factors, and proline biosynthesis enzymes (P5CS1). These proteins govern drought tolerance mechanisms critical to crop survival under water-deficit conditions. The dataset is designed to support computational structural biology workflows including homology modeling, molecular dynamics simulation, and virtual screening for agrochemical development. Plain Language Summary Drought is one of the greatest threats to global food production. Certain plants survive extreme water loss because they produce specialized proteins that protect their cells from damage. This dataset contains the molecular sequences and structural information for these protective proteins. Researchers can use this data to identify which proteins are most important for drought survival, and ultimately to develop crop varieties that can better withstand harsh growing conditions — helping secure food supplies in a changing climate.
