Newcastle Disease Virus samples from outbreaks in 1951-2015 in West Java, Indonesia. avian paramyxovirus 1

The aim of this study is to provide full genome sequences from 6 NDV isolates in chicken from 1951 to 2015 in West Java, Indonesia. The pathotype of 6 isolates are virulent with a mean time to death of less than 60 hours (MDT). Avian Orthoavulavirus 1 NDV-9 ITA 1951-contigs 2 isolate belongs to genotype VI which is used as a challenge strain in vaccination trials. The remainder of the isolates belong to genotype VII, the dominant strain responsible for Newcastle Disease outbreaks in Indonesia.
