During the dry season, a subset of mothers in the study participated in a structured observation of a market trip to document types, quantities, location, and cost of food purchases and an in-depth interview to explore factors driving food choice. The total sample for the market trip in-depth interviews was 54 participants. This data set contains 50 transcripts from in-depth interviews that were conducted following an observation of a food shopping trip with each woman. Four participants refused to be recorded and there are no transcripts for their interviews.
