Surface Reflectance Data

This collection contains swath and gridded reflectance data for all MODIS (Aqua and Terra) bands which reflect from the Earths surface. There is temporal coverage from 2000 to 2012. There are multiple swath products per day, per satellite. The gridded data comprises a single scene per day per satellite of the Australian continent. Each of the 19-bands is stored as a separate file for each scene. These data support research into advanced algorithms for the retrieval of biophysical data such as, vegetation indexes, stored carbon, BRDF, AOD, smoke and dust products. This data forms part of the TERN/Auscover national database of significant terrestrial products.
