Data for " Checklist of the Vascular Flora of Maritime and Ligurian Alps: the dataset on Species Diversity, Functional Traits, and Conservation Status."

This data article presents the first checklist of the flora from Maritime and Ligurian Alps sensu lato, one of the biodiversity hotspots in the Mediterranean Basin, at the boundary between Italy and France. The area had been delimited using the SOIUSA classification. We selected the southernmost three sections: 1. - Ligurian Alps; 2. - Maritime Alps; 3 - Alps and Prealps of Provence, for a total surface of 16,631km2Two further datasets are presented:to each species we associated multiple plant traits (x,y,z,...)the species are categorized by theircategorizedthe second one contains their level of protection.
