Our study helps to understand the transcriptome level changes in small intestines exposed to hypoxia after nitrate supplementation, to find out which genes or signaling pathways nitrate plays a role in by activating or inhibiting them. Overall design: In this study, we isolated small intestine from wild mice exposed to hypoxia (7%O2) for 7 days(Hypoxia) and gave them 4mM nitrate supplementation(Hypoxia+Nitrate). The Hypoxia group and the Hypoxia+Nitrate group (4 samples each) were subjected to RNA sequencing.
