Provided is a power-driven tool wherein components contained in a gear case are easily cooled. A power-driven tool 1 has: a motor 6; a fan 7 rotated by the motor 6 to generate a flow of cooling air; a housing 42， 44， 45 containing the motor 6 and the fan 7 and defining an air flow passage P for the flow of cooling air; an output shaft 43 to which a front end tool 41 can be removably mounted and which is rotated by the motor 6; and a transmission mechanism 5 for transmitting the rotational output of the motor 6 to the output shaft 43. The transmission mechanism 5 has a rotating member 51 rotating with the output shaft 43， and the rotating member 51 is disposed within the air flow passage P.
