SLAMS v2.0.0 model forcing dataset

The SLAMS v2.0.0 model forcing dataset contains the prepared environmental forcing data required to run the SLAMS v2.0.0 particle-resolving model. The archive provides gridded and formatted MATLAB .mat files suitable for conversion into model-ready binary input files using the SLAMS pre-processing workflow. The forcing fields include photosynthetically active radiation, net primary production, chlorophyll a, temperature, salinity-derived seawater properties, macronutrients, dissolved oxygen, aeolian dust flux, mixed-layer depth, mesozooplankton biomass, calcite saturation state, daylight duration, sea-ice masking, and euphotic depth. The source data were downloaded, processed, regridded, gap-filled, and/or formatted using tools from ocean-data-lab and gap-filling-methods-ocean-data. The underlying source products include: NASA Aqua-MODIS, BICEP, ESA OC-CCI, World Ocean Atlas 2023, CMIP6/NCAR-CESM2, CMIP6/PISCES, IFREMER, GSW Oceanographic Toolbox, MIT seawater property routines, and CO2SYS. These files support reproducibility of the SLAMS v2.0.0 example configuration and associated analyses. They are intended to be used together with the SLAMS v2.0.0 source code and its configuration files.
