Supplementary Material for Exploring Multi-answer Visual Question Answering with Object-detection: A Systematic Review

This repository contains the supplementary material for the study: “Multi-answer Visual Question Answering with Object Detection: A Systematic Review.” The supplementary document provides additional methodological details supporting the systematic literature review conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. It includes: • Table S1 – PRISMA 2020 Checklist • Table S2 – Characteristics of Domain-Specific VQA Studies (n = 28) • Table S3 – Characteristics of General-Purpose VQA Studies (n = 30) In total, 58 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 were analyzed. The tables summarize datasets, model characteristics, visual representation strategies, and evaluation methods used across the reviewed studies. This supplementary material supports transparency and reproducibility of the review process and provides structured information for future research in multi-answer visual question answering.
