Continuous wind measurements by a Doppler lidar during the WMO UAS-DC at Meteorological Research Institute, Japan

Meteorological drone profiling was made at the Meteorological Research Institute, Tsukuba City, Japan, from 1 March to 30 April 2024 as a part of the WMO UAS-Demonstration Campaign. In this campaign, continuous vertical wind measurements (e.g., wind speed and direction) from near surface to 300m were made by a Doppler lidar (WINDCUBE, Vaisala).
