Another Grammar by IBN MÂLIK, being a new edition of his الفوائد النحوية

It is entitled: تسهيل الفوائد و تكميل المقاصد . Cf. Ḥ. Kh. ii. 290, iv. 479; Casiri, i. 16, 33 [= Miguel Casiri, Bibliotheca Arabico-Hispana Escurialensis (2 vols, Madrid, 1760–1770)].

Begins:

قال الشيخ الامام العالم حجة العرب جمال الدين ابو عبدالله محمد بن عبدالله بن مالك الطائى الجيانى قدس الله روحه و نور ضريحه حامدا لله ... هذا كتاب فى النحو جعلته بحمد الله مستوفيا لاصوله مستوليا على ابوابه و فصوله الخ

The work is divided into chapters, the first of which commences as follows:

باب يشرح الكلمة و الكلام و ما يتعلّق به الكلمة لفظ دالّ مستقلّ بالوضع تحقيقاً او تقديراً الخ

Beautifully written, with vowel-points added. Of about the eighth century. The first fol. and the last are supplied by a later hand. Both the beginning and end are worm-eaten, and fol. 2 is much injured by damp. The first few pages are covered with notes.
