This dataset is based on field surveys on crop planting types conducted in Xinjiang and its adjacent regions during the summers of 2023 and 2024, with 2480 and 282 ground-based observation sampling points collected respectively. The survey areas cover Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Tacheng Prefecture, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Shihezi City, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture and Aksu Prefecture in Xinjiang, as well as Zhangye City of Gansu Province, Menyuan County of Qinghai Province and other typical oasis agricultural areas and plateau edge regions.
