Drought stress restructure microbiota. soil metagenome

This project aims to investigate the impact of drought stress on the diversity and composition of bacterial communities in the rhizosphere and endosphere of rice, with the objective of providing guidelines for isolating beneficial bacteria that can enhance rice's resistance to drought. A pot experiment was conducted with two treatments: continuous flooding control and drought treatment. After 28 days of drought treatment, samples were collected from the rhizosphere, endosphere, and bulk soil of rice plants. High-throughput sequencing combined with bioinformatic analysis was employed to explore shifts in bacterial diversity and community structure while defining the core bacteriome.
