The information given in each volume includes: date of articles, from whom, to whom, judge approving, when articles filed and remarks (eg., assignment, new articles, etc.). Volume 4/8237 also gives date affidavit of execution filed, fees paid and amount. Part of the entries in volume 4/8237 duplicate entries in volume 4/8238.Volume 4/8239 includes a list of persons qualifying under Rule 428 (B & G) and 457(A)1, numbered 1-20, on pages 140-41 and a list of managing clerks admitted to Intermediate Law Examination, 1910-21, on pages 150-51. In addition, volume 4/8239 contains a list of old records of articled clerks put by in separate parcel, January 1921, at the front of the volume and the form for the managing clerks certificate at the back of the volume.Dates given are the dates when the articles of clerkship were filed as the registers appear to be arranged by this date.
