A fully defined protocol for differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells into forebrain neural progenitors

Human embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) were differentiated into forebrain neural progenitors using a fully defined protocol with dual SMAD-inhibition. Cells were taken at four time points to monitor temporal changes in the transcriptome over the course of differentiation. Overall design: Bulk RNA-seq was performed on ES and iPS-derived forebrain progenitor cells at four time points of differentiation (day 13, 14, 15, and 16). Two differentiation replicates were used at each of the time points.
