Corded Ware Culture Burrows ITS2 high throughput sequencing

This study aimed to verify whether Illumina sequencing is a viable method of studying Late Neolithic burrows. Two Corded Ware Culture burrows located in South East Poland were surveyed. Samples from vessels, places of suspected burial, wooden construction, as well as podzol and topsoil were collected. We suspected that, via whole DNA extraction and ITS2 amplification and sequencing, we will identify fungi which will give clues about previous vessels' contents, as well as further prove where the burial sites were.
