OpenStreetMap (OSM) for England (National Grid)

This is an extract from the OpenStreetMap database as at the 13th August 2009 for England. OpenStreetMap is user contributed data and there is not consistent coverage over the whole country. It is being continually updated so if you need a more up-to-date version you should download a newer version from OSM. Details of OpenStreetMap can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenStreetMap. The data was downloaded as Shapefiles from 2 sources. The coastline was downloaded from Cloudmade (http://downloads.cloudmade.com/) and the rest of the data was downloaded from Geofabrik (http://www.geofabrik.de/data/download.html) The data has been converted to British National Grid using ArcMap. All Data from OpenStreetMap is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License. GIS vector data. This dataset was first accessioned in the EDINA ShareGeo Open repository on 2010-07-05 and migrated to Edinburgh DataShare on 2017-02-21.
