<b>Co-infection with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus and </b><b><i>Rickettsia monacensis</i></b><b> in Korea</b>

Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus (SFTSV) and spotted fever group Rickettsia (SFGR) are tick-borne infectious diseases. We investigated the prevalence of rickettsiosis co-infection in patients with SFTS. To our knowledge, this is the first case in which 7.9% of these patients were co-infected with <i>Rickettsia monacensis</i> based on molecular testing.发热伴血小板减少综合征病毒（Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus, SFTSV）与斑点热群立克次体（spotted fever group Rickettsia, SFGR）所引发的疾病均属于蜱传传染病。本研究针对发热伴血小板减少综合征患者的立克次体病共感染流行率开展了调查；据我们所知，本研究首次通过分子检测证实，该类患者中有7.9%合并感染了莫纳科立克次体（Rickettsia monacensis）。
