The Comprehensive Wave Data Set of the South China Sea from 1945 to 2018

This data is sourced from the National Marine Data Center, compiled and processed from international exchange and collaboration institutions or projects, international operational observations, domestic specialized projects (908, 703, National Marine Census), and domestic operational observations (profiles, buoys, etc.). Through a series of processes such as data collection, standardization, quality control, manual review, and deduplication, the final comprehensive wave data set was created. The data is stored in 10-degree square units, with each unit containing the observational data for all years within that area. The division and naming of the square units follow the WMO-defined principles, and the file names include the square unit number and the starting time range. The data relevant to the article spans from 1945 to 2018. For more detailed information, please visit http://mds.nmdis.org.cn/.
