Tachyglossus aculeatus Genome sequencing and assembly

Short-beaked echidna is one of the four living monotremes and native to Australia and New Guinea. We sequenced echidna genome with paired-end and mate-pair sequencing of one male individual Emale01, and 10X, Bionano and Phase Genomics Hi-C of another male individual Emale12. The genome was assembled from pair-end and mate-pair Illumina reads and further scaffolded with 10X, Bionano and Hi-C.
