资源简介:
Penicillium sp. CCTCC M 20232310 strain DSF059, a potentially novel species isolated from deep-sea sediments (>2000 m depth), demonstrates broad-spectrum antagonistic activity against various phytopathogens responsible for severe tropical crop diseases, such as banana Fusarium wilt, coconut gray leaf spot, and mango anthracnose. The objective of whole-genome sequencing is to clarify the genetic foundation of its biocontrol mechanisms, with particular emphasis on secondary metabolite biosynthesis, including antimicrobial compounds and hydrolytic enzymes. To facilitate comparative genomics for taxonomic validation, the genome data will serve as a foundational resource. It will underpin agricultural applications by acting as a sustainable biocontrol agent to diminish reliance on chemical pesticides . Meanwhile, its industrial potential resides in the exploration of extremophile-derived enzymes for biodegradation or bioremediation purposes. This genomic resource further propels studies on marine fungal diversity and enhances drug discovery pipelines.
