ADCP oceanic current under drifting pack ice in central Arctic

Horizontal velocities were obtained using an acoustic Doppler current profiler (ADCP) (1MHz Signature 1000, Nortek) during 'ArcWatch-1' expedition. The ADCP was deployed on the ice floe #3 through a hydrohole. The three-dimensional velocities were collected for the duration of a few days at a rate of every second during a burst interval of 1 min, occurring at a sampling frequency of 10 min. The vertical extent of ADCP current data ranged from 1 to 20 m from the ice bottom, with data distributed at a 1 m vertical resolution.
