Rhizosphere microbiome in the Hallst?tter glacier forefield using amplicon sequencing

Rhizosphere microbiome assembly is essential for plant resilience and health, but the temporal dimension of this process remains mostly unexplored. We used a chronosequence of 150 years in the foreland of the retreating Hallst?tter glacier (Dachstein, Austria) to disentangle this exemplarily for the rhizosphere of three alpine plant species (Papaver alpinum L., Hornungia alpina (L.) O. Appel, and Sedum atratum L.).
