RNA sequencing of the cerebral cortex and hippocampus of wild-type mice fed with standard rodent chow (SD) or a diet containing 60% kcal as fat (high-fat diet, HFD) complemented with the intraperitoneal (i.p.) injection of vehicle (0.05 M citrate buffer, pH 4.5) or Streptozotocin (STZ). The treatment was started in 6-8 month-old mice and lasted for the following 6 months. mRNA libraries were prepared from 3 biological replicates of each condition. Sequencing was carried out at the Genomics Unit of The Centre for Genomic Regulation (Barcelona) (CRG, Spain).
