资源简介:
Dogs were selectively developed for phenotypes such as size, coat color, structure, and behavior according to national or geographical area. The selection and line-breeding required to maintain a breed has also reshaped the genome of the dog resulting in a unique genetic pattern for each breed. Naturally occurring diseases in dog provide an important model for studying human disease including cancer, heart disease, and autoimmune disorders. Thus, whole genome sequencing provides the insight of various breed dog genome structure. However, only a few whole-genome sequencing data of canine breeds are publicly available. No reference genome was sequenced in dog breeds with small body size such as Maltease, Poodle and Yorkshire Terrier. Whole genome resequencing was performed at ~35x mean depth by the Comparative Cancer Research Center in South Korea using genomic DNA derived from those three dog breeds in healthy condition.
