Samples of strongyle eggs collected from pigs were analysed to obtain Oesophagostomum spp. beta-tubulin sequences and quantify polymorphisms in codona 134, 167, 198 and 200. Eggs were purified, DNA was isolated and two different amplicons containing either codons 134 and 167 or codons 198 and 200 were sequenced using Illumina MiSeq technology. The method was further evaluated using artificial mixtures of synthetic DNA fragments with known frequency of the different polymorphisms.
