REPERFUSION THERAPY FOR ISCHEMIC STROKE

This literature review presents current data on reperfusion therapy for ischemic stroke, including systemic intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy. Indications, contraindications, therapeutic windows, patient selection criteria using modern neuroimaging methods, as well as the results of large randomized clinical trials and current international guidelines are discussed. The analysis demonstrates that timely use of reperfusion treatments can significantly improve clinical outcomes, reduce mortality, and enhance quality of life in patients with ischemic stroke.
