DATASET ON CURRENT HEALTH WAQF PRACTICES ACROSS STATE ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS COUNCILS (SIRC) IN MALAYSIA

This dataset contains qualitative interview data on the current practices of health waqf implemented by State Islamic Religious Councils (SIRC) in Malaysia. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews as part of a qualitative research design aimed at exploring institutional practices and operational approaches to implementing waqf-based healthcare initiatives. The respondents consist of representatives from selected SIRCs who are directly involved in the administration, management, or coordination of health waqf programmes within their respective institutions. These individuals possess relevant institutional knowledge and practical experience regarding the development and implementation of health waqf initiatives. The dataset documents various forms of health waqf practices currently implemented by SIRCs, including the establishment of dialysis centres, the provision of medical equipment, support for healthcare facilities, and other waqf-based health services. The dataset provides structured information that may support further research on waqf sustainability, Islamic social finance, and healthcare support initiatives. It may also serve as a reference for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners interested in understanding the institutional implementation of health waqf in Malaysia.
