Technology Research Impact and Security Study dataset – underlying data for "A multidisciplinary approach to protect science from disinformation"

A dataset for the manuscript “A multidisciplinary approach to protect science from disinformation” within Technology Research Impact and Security Study (Palacký University Olomouc, Czechia), which briefly discusses the increasing threat that disinformation and conspiracy theories pose to scientific research. In the research, we concentrated on scientists who, following the Frascati Manual classification, fall into the first four categories: 1. Natural Sciences, 2. Engineering and Technology, 3. Medical and Health Sciences, and 4. Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences. Scientists were approached through an online questionnaire, with respondents coming from countries on all continents. The study included responses collected between 21 May and 21 October 2024 from at least one scientist from 34 countries worldwide, with a total of 467 scientists from various disciplines participating.
