Stanford Background (Standford Background Dataset)

The Stanford Background Dataset is a novel dataset introduced by Gould et al. (ICCV 2009) for evaluating methods for geometric and semantic scene understanding. This dataset contains 715 images selected from existing public datasets: LabelMe, MSRC, PASCAL VOC, and Geometric Context. Our selection criteria are that the images are outdoor scenes, approximately 320 × 240 pixels in size, contain at least one foreground object, and have a horizon position within the image (it need not be visible).
