Drosophila melanogaster Protein-RNA interactions via RIP-Seq. Drosophila melanogaster

The goal of the study is to identify protein-RNA interactions in Drosophila melanogaster using RIP-Seq. Briefly, cultured S2 cells are transfected with a vector expressing an epitopte tagged RNA binding protein. After induction of the tagged protein, protein-RNA complexes are isolated by immunoprecipitation, the RNA is purified and subjected to RNA-Seq on the Illumina platform.
