Global Database of Land Distribution and Inequality (LINEQ)

LINEQ is a global dataset that documents both global and regional patterns of land inequality. It also provides a strong foundation for examining broader questions related to the distribution of farms and farmland. Covering the period from 1929 to 2023 and encompassing 177 countries and territories, LINEQ relies primarily on agricultural census data. Where available, nationally representative household and agricultural surveys are used to expand coverage and further enrich regional and global analyses.
