Research data supporting "An Experimental Investigation into the Dimensional Quality of the Material Extrusion Additive Manufacturing Process" (A.1)

Table shows the systematic literature review search strategy (.pdf file) that was used to identify all the relevant studies relating to material extrusion additive manufacturing dimensional accuracy. The systematic protocol employed the Scopus search database for identifying the relevant studies. The review was undertaken row-by-row, whereby studies that were newly identified were imported into Mendeley and recorded in the table highlighted in red. The * refers to a duplicate study previously identified during the systematic search process or cross referenced from an initial scoping study. A total of 287 studies were believed to be of significance. A total of 8017 studies were rejected during reviewal process. Studies were excluded for being non- experimental, explicitly comparing desktop machines, comparing materials, investigating mechanical properties of parts, examining surface roughness and not dimensional accuracy, and validating numerical models.
